Senior Credit Officer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Credit Officer to join our finance team in Alexandria, Sydney. Reporting to the Credit Manager, you will manage customer invoices and drive timely collections across a diverse portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Manage efficient and timely collection of customer invoices and account balances.
• Identify, manage and escalate accounts with non‑payment or delayed payment behaviours.
• Perform daily cash allocations and produce internal cash‑flow reports.
• Identify and implement improvements to systems, workflows and reporting to enhance payment performance.
• Maintain accurate financial records in internal systems.
• Monitor and report key financial metrics for the Credit team.
• Support month‑end reporting and ad‑hoc financial tasks.
• Onboard new customers with internal teams to ensure timely payment setup.
• Develop strong relationships with internal business units and external customer representatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in credit control or accounts receivable with a large, diverse customer portfolio.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with Microsoft Business Central (Dynamics 365) – preferred.
• Familiarity with procurement portals such as COUPA, ARIBA or CORRIGO – preferred.
