Senior Cybersecurity Auditor

About the role

onebank is launching Egypt’s first digital native bank and is looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Auditor to join its audit team. You will lead risk‑based cybersecurity audit engagements, providing independent assurance on the design and operating effectiveness of the bank’s security controls.

Key responsibilities

• Execute cybersecurity audit engagements in line with the approved audit plan, IIA standards and relevant regulations.
• Assess design and operating effectiveness of controls across infrastructure, applications, cloud environments, databases and information assets.
• Evaluate compliance with internal cybersecurity policies, regulatory requirements and industry best practices, identifying gaps and vulnerabilities.
• Identify cyber risks and control weaknesses, quantify business impact and propose practical, risk‑based remediation recommendations.
• Follow up with auditees to obtain action plans and review them with the senior manager to ensure adequacy.
• Participate in cybersecurity investigations, advisory projects and special reviews as assigned.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of emerging technologies, security trends and relevant standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in information security or IT audit with a focus on cybersecurity.
• Demonstrated experience auditing against standards, frameworks and regulatory requirements.
• Strong understanding of risk‑based audit methodology and governance processes.

Required skills

• Information security standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT).
• IT audit methodology and IIA standards.
• Cybersecurity risk assessment and control testing.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance for banking sector.
• Experience with cloud security assessments.
