Senior Cybersecurity Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to lead the protection of our digital assets. The role involves shaping security practices across development, operations and IT teams while responding to threats and incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Perform risk assessments, vulnerability scans, penetration testing and source‑code reviews, delivering remediation recommendations.
• Work closely with IT, DevOps and software development teams to embed security throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Monitor corporate IT systems, security alerts and suspicious activities, and investigate security incidents.
• Maintain and update the Information Security program documentation.
• Provide security awareness training and education to staff.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity with at least 2 years in a senior position.
• Hands‑on experience in web penetration testing, risk assessment, DAST, SAST and incident investigation.
• Web application security certification preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Security or a related field.

Required skills

• Pen‑testing and vulnerability scanning (DAST, SAST).
• Programming/scripting knowledge.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols, Windows and Linux security configurations.
• Implementation and management of WAF, SIEM and vulnerability‑management tools.
• Security architecture and design, databases, web server technologies, cloud computing.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001 (ISO 27k) standards.
