Senior Embedded Engineer

About the role

eInfochips, a company of Arrow, is a product engineering services firm delivering solutions across silicon, hardware, embedded software, applications, industrial design and user interfaces. It engineers products for its clients from Egypt, and is looking for a Senior Embedded Engineer in Cairo to deliver the technical side of product engineering services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop real-time embedded software and firmware-based software applications
• Analyze domain-specific technical or low-level requirements and modifications according to end-customer or system requirements
• Perform software testing, including unit, functional and system tests, manual and automated
• Troubleshoot module and unit-level software problems
• Document deliverables such as software specifications, design documents, code comments, test cases, test reports and release notes throughout the project lifecycle
• Follow the defined software development lifecycle and build software using established languages or learn new ones for each project

Required profile

• Graduate degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science
• Experience with embedded systems based on RTOS, including real-time concepts, multi-tasking application development and unit test automation
• Ability to read schematics, data sheets and device manuals, and to work closely with the electrical team
• Strong teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills, with a self-starting, results-oriented approach

Required skills

• C programming (advanced C++ is a plus)
• Debuggers, SCA tools, Git, SVN and JIRA
• Communication protocols: UART, RS232/485, SPI, I2C, USB, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Ethernet
• ARM Cortex-M0/M3/M4 platforms from Qualcomm, TI, NXP and ST
• Shell/Python scripting is a plus

The position is full time, based in Maadi Technology Park, Cairo, with a competitive compensation package in USD.
