Senior Engineer, System Admin (Linux)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Engineer specialized in Linux system administration to join our infrastructure team. You will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining a highly available virtualized Linux environment that supports both Linux and Windows workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain infrastructure components in a virtualized Linux environment.
• Fully manage installation, configuration, troubleshooting and performance tuning of Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers.
• Architect, install, configure and optimise computing systems and networks based on Linux.
• Administer, monitor and resolve critical alerts on Linux and Windows servers.
• Perform patch management, system backup and restore, and storage management (LVM, snapshots, iSCSI).
• Implement security measures using Firewalld and SELinux.
• Work with virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper‑V.
• Utilise Red Hat Satellite and, preferably, Red Hat OpenShift for lifecycle management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with Linux (Red Hat) and Unix administration.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Proficient written and spoken English.
• Red Hat certification is preferred.
