Senior Full Stack Laravel Engineer

About the role

Cross Border Talents is recruiting, for one of its clients, a Senior Full Stack Laravel Developer for an international software company based in Spain. The client is an award-winning creative online, web and mobile software development company with offices across Europe. The position is full-time and remote.

Key responsibilities

• Determine the structure of web pages according to a given design
• Build reusable code for future use
• Ensure web design is optimized for smartphones (mobile-first)
• Keep an eye on performance and optimize web pages for maximum speed and scalability
• Manage your own time and workload as a self-starter

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of PHP, Laravel, HTML, CSS and JavaScript with 3-5+ years of proven development experience
• Experience working in an agile, team environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented design principles and methodologies
• Experience with databases, ideally both relational and NoSQL
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and libraries
• A Github account, open-source contributions or a personal project mentioned in the cover letter is a plus

Required skills

• Laravel, PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Sass, Git, Vue.js, Tailwind
• Proficiency with SCSS and Blade templates; Vue.js, AMP and TailwindCSS preferred
• Responsive and adaptive design, SEO principles, and familiarity with website and backend optimization best practices
• Search servers such as Elastic or Algolia are a definite plus but not required
