Senior Integration Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Integration Engineer to join our Integration Factory team in Cairo. In this hands‑on position you will design, build and maintain complex middleware and event‑driven integrations that support our digital platform services.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement end‑to‑end integrations across middleware, API and event‑driven platforms.
• Ensure integration quality by handling patterns, mappings, error handling, retries, security, scalability and operability.
• Conduct high‑impact design and code reviews to guarantee maintainability and performance.
• Mentor junior engineers through pairing, walkthroughs and feedback.
• Support production troubleshooting, prioritize root‑cause fixes and manage escalations.
• Collaborate with architects and product owners to clarify requirements and shape feasible solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in integration or software engineering with strong integration exposure.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex systems and communicate clearly across technical and product teams.
• Fluent spoken and written English.

Required skills

• API technologies: REST, SOAP, OData.
• Integration platforms: SAP CPI, MuleSoft, Azure Integration Services (or equivalent).
• Scripting languages: Groovy, JavaScript.
• Experience with API gateways, event streaming (Kafka, Event Mesh) and observability tools (monitoring, logging, alerting).
• CI/CD practices and tools such as Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with delivery tooling like Jira and ServiceNow.
