Senior IT System & Network Administrator – Cybersecurity Specialist

About the role

The Senior Systems & Cybersecurity Infrastructure role provides advanced technical expertise in maintaining, securing, and optimizing enterprise IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, virtualization platforms, and endpoint security solutions. The position ensures availability, reliability, performance, and security through proactive monitoring, incident response, vulnerability remediation, and best‑practice implementation. The role works closely with the Infrastructure Lead to deliver secure and resilient IT projects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical support for enterprise servers, storage, virtualization platforms, and network infrastructure.
• Monitor infrastructure health, performance, availability, and security using monitoring and security tools.
• Administer firewalls, VPN connectivity, endpoint protection, and network access controls.
• Perform system hardening, vulnerability remediation, security patching, and configuration reviews.
• Investigate infrastructure alerts and security events, conducting root‑cause analysis.
• Manage backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity technologies.
• Maintain Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Support ticketing and ITSM platforms such as ManageEngine ServiceDesk.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• 2–4 years of hands‑on experience in network, systems, and infrastructure administration with exposure to cybersecurity operations.
• Preferred certifications: Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Microsoft MCSA/MCSE, CompTIA Security+, Ethical Hacking or equivalent.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.

• Windows Server administration, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy.
• Virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper‑V).
• Storage systems management.
• Endpoint protection, antivirus and EDR solutions.
• Email security and security hardening.
• Vulnerability assessment, patch management, system hardening, configuration management.
• Backup, disaster recovery and business continuity technologies.
• SIEM and log analysis (desirable).
• Infrastructure monitoring, ticketing and ITSM tools (e.g., ManageEngine ServiceDesk).
