Senior Maintenance Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Maintenance Engineer to lead the upkeep and optimisation of our production equipment. The role combines hands‑on troubleshooting with strategic planning to ensure high reliability and safety across mechanical, electrical and automation systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programmes for all plant machinery, including routine inspections of motors, bearings, gearboxes, panels, wiring and sensors.
• Diagnose and repair complex faults in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, performing root‑cause analysis and implementing long‑term corrective actions.
• Lead installation, commissioning and upgrades of new equipment, and optimise existing assets for performance and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, conduct risk assessments and enforce lockout/tagout and electrical isolation procedures.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, track recurring issues and provide data‑driven improvement recommendations.
• Manage spare‑parts inventory, coordinate with procurement and guarantee availability of critical components.
• Supervise and mentor maintenance technicians, delivering hands‑on training on electrical, mechanical and automation tools.

Required profile

• Proven experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a senior or lead capacity.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to perform root‑cause analysis and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent understanding of safety regulations and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Leadership skills to guide a team of technicians and ensure adherence to standards.
