Senior Mechanical Estimation Engineer

About the role

The Senior Mechanical Estimation Engineer prepares, reviews, and validates detailed cost estimates for MEP construction projects. This role combines technical expertise with mentorship, ensuring proposals are competitive, accurate, and aligned with company strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret tender documents, drawings, and specifications to extract cost data.
• Lead the preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and detailed cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works.
• Evaluate, validate, and negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Collaborate with architectural, structural, and MEP teams to ensure accurate quantity surveying.
• Support the creation and review of technical and financial proposals.
• Participate in tender clarification meetings and provide recommendations.
• Drive value‑engineering initiatives and cost‑benchmarking exercises.
• Maintain estimation records, databases, and pricing libraries.
• Mentor junior estimation engineers and provide technical guidance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in MEP estimation and tendering.
• Strong knowledge of MEP construction practices, methodologies, and market pricing.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage priorities, and make informed estimation decisions.
