Senior MEP Engineer

About the role

The Senior MEP Engineer will provide technical and operational supervision for both the Electrical and Mechanical sections of the university’s Maintenance Department. Reporting to the Head of Maintenance, the role ensures coordinated, efficient delivery of all MEP‑related activities across the campus.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee electrical systems, panels, lighting, power distribution and generators.
• Manage mechanical systems including HVAC, pumps, plumbing and drainage.
• Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programmes.
• Monitor contractor and service‑provider performance, ensuring compliance with SLAs and KPIs.
• Coordinate technical shutdowns, inspections and major breakdown follow‑up.
• Control work‑order backlog, monitor work‑order closure and produce technical reports.
• Review technical offers, quotations, method statements and material requests.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in MEP maintenance and facilities management.
• Proven experience managing multidisciplinary maintenance teams and external contractors.
• Strong coordination, leadership and communication abilities.
• Experience in large‑scale facilities such as universities, hospitals or similar complexes is preferred.
• Relevant facility‑management certifications (IFMA, CFM) are a plus.
