Senior Network Security Specialist

About the role

The Senior Network Security Specialist will lead the design, implementation and ongoing management of the enterprise network security architecture. This role safeguards critical systems, improves the organization’s security posture and ensures high‑availability of secure network services.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deploy enterprise‑wide network security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, WAF, proxy and NAC.
• Configure, tune and troubleshoot platforms such as Fortigate, Forcepoint, Cisco ASA/FTD and F5 BIG‑IP.
• Monitor security events, analyze logs and network traffic to detect threats and anomalies.
• Lead incident response, root‑cause analysis and containment activities.
• Implement network segmentation, Zero Trust, VLANs, ACLs and micro‑segmentation strategies.
• Manage secure remote‑access technologies (IPSec VPN, SSL VPN, MFA integrations).
• Coordinate vulnerability assessments, security audits and penetration‑testing efforts.
• Collaborate with SOC teams for threat hunting and SIEM analysis (Splunk, QRadar, Microsoft Sentinel).
• Develop and enforce network security policies, standards and compliance with ISO 27001, NIST, PCI‑DSS and CIS Controls.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across infrastructure, NOC and IT teams.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in network security architecture and operations.
• Proven ability to lead complex security projects and mentor technical staff.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, PCI‑DSS, CIS).
• Hands‑on experience with enterprise firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF, proxy and NAC solutions.
• Experience with incident response, threat hunting and SIEM platforms.
