Senior People Operations Specialist

About the role

Foodics, a restaurant management ecosystem and payment technology provider founded in 2014 and serving customers in over 35 countries, is looking for a highly experienced Senior People Operations Specialist in Cairo. The role owns core people operations processes, manages complex payroll and benefits administration, and acts as the primary guardian of legal compliance in the regions of operation.

Key responsibilities

• Employee lifecycle: prepare and issue compliant employment contracts, offer letters and amendments; run onboarding and orientation; handle promotions, transfers, offboarding, exit interviews and final settlements.
• Payroll, benefits and HRIS: process monthly payroll accurately, administer employee benefits including medical/health insurance (renewals, additions, deletions, claims), maintain and audit HRIS data, and coordinate with finance on payroll disbursements.
• Compliance and government liaison: ensure compliance with local labour laws, social insurance registrations and filings, liaise with the labor office, keep HR policies and handbooks up to date, and handle government inspections and audits.
• Policy development and process improvement: update HR policies and procedures, identify automation and integration opportunities, and document and standardize workflows.
• Employee engagement and support: coordinate local team-building activities and act as the main point of contact for employee questions on policies, benefits, payroll and HR matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in People Operations, HR Generalist or HR Operations, with a focus on payroll, benefits and compliance.
• Hands-on experience with mandatory social insurance programs and labor office procedures, and extensive experience administering group medical insurance policies.
• Experience in a fast-paced startup or scale-up environment.
• Professional HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR or GPHR is an advantage.
