Senior Project Manager

About the role

Network International is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a portfolio of delivery projects across Africa, covering issuing, acquiring, digital payments, and cards & switching solutions. The role is responsible for end‑to‑end delivery, ensuring projects meet scope, schedule, budget, quality, and customer satisfaction targets.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full project lifecycle from initiation through to post‑go‑live stabilization and handover.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, RAID logs, budgets, and resource allocations.
• Drive UAT, certification, pilot, and production go‑live milestones with defined quality gates.
• Manage change requests, scope adjustments, and impact assessments with clear commercial and technical rationale.
• Lead, motivate, and coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams (BAs, Tech Leads, Developers, QA, Operations, Scheme & Compliance) in a matrixed environment.
• Foster a "one team" culture emphasizing accountability, collaboration, transparency, and customer focus.
• Coach team members on delivery best practices and resolve performance issues constructively.
• Serve as primary liaison for client sponsors, business stakeholders, and partner organisations, leading steering committees and executive reviews.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience delivering complex financial services or payments projects.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior executives.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional, matrixed teams without direct reporting lines.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Experience managing projects across multiple African markets is a plus.
