Senior Python Backend Engineer (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a senior Python backend engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable services for our product platform. This fully remote position is based in Egypt and follows Saudi business hours, offering the chance to work on high‑impact micro‑services in a fast‑paced startup environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python‑based backend services and APIs.
• Implement RESTful APIs and micro‑services using FastAPI and/or Flask.
• Create efficient data‑access layers with SQLAlchemy and relational databases.
• Write production‑grade code focused on performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Develop automated tests with pytest and ensure code quality through linting (flake8).
• Containerize applications using Docker and support CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in code reviews, pull requests, and collaborative engineering discussions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development and production environments.

Required profile

• 5‑8+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with Python, REST APIs, and micro‑services.
• Proven ability to work remotely, communicate clearly, and deliver high‑quality code.
