Senior Refrigeration Engineer - Delta

About the role

The Senior Refrigeration Engineer will apply advanced engineering knowledge to repair and maintain refrigeration equipment across five Delta Area centers (Mansoura, Benha, Menoufia, Tanta, Zagazig). The role ensures optimal performance of freezers, cold rooms and anterooms while leading a technical team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the refrigeration technicians team, ensuring compliance with GEPD SOPs, manufacturer documentation and equipment manuals.
• Oversee spare parts, consumables and tooling inventory.
• Perform periodic inspections of freezers, cold rooms and anterooms to determine maintenance needs.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of compressors, condensers and other refrigeration system components.
• Requisition necessary spare parts and supplies for proper equipment operation.
• Instruct operating personnel on work procedures, safety precautions and gauge/pressure reading methods.
• Handle all required documentation related to maintenance activities.
• Coordinate maintenance scheduling with DC management and PLC to avoid operational conflicts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience maintaining walk‑in freezers and cold stores.
• Proficiency in English is mandatory.
