Senior Software Quality Engineer

About the role

Geidea is seeking a Senior Software Quality Engineer to join its Egypt team. You will design, execute, and oversee test activities to ensure high‑quality digital payment solutions are delivered on time.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute comprehensive test cases and test plans.
• Review and mentor junior testers on test case creation.
• Prioritize test cases at the squad level and ensure full coverage.
• Report defects, testing status, and squad releases to stakeholders.
• Define testing scope, analyse results, and ensure adherence to testing guidelines.
• Provide accurate testing estimates and maintain testing quality.
• Develop automation scripts when required by the squad.

Required profile

• 4‑7 years of software testing experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
• Proven ability to analyse user stories, use cases and requirements.
• Experience with system, integration and regression testing.
• Strong English proficiency.
• ISTQB certification (required).
• Automation testing experience is a plus.
