Senior Software Quality Engineer

About the role

Geidea is looking for a Senior Software Quality Engineer to design and execute test cases, ensuring that implementations follow testing guidelines and deliver high‑quality products. The role supports the testing team in Egypt and contributes to the overall quality of digital payment solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute test cases for assigned squads.
• Review test cases created by junior testers and prioritize them at squad level.
• Report defects and provide status updates on testing activities and releases.
• Define testing scope, ensure coverage, and analyse test results.
• Maintain testing quality, adhere to guidelines, and provide accurate testing estimates.
• Develop automation test scripts when required by the squad.

Required profile

• 4‑7 years of experience in software testing.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science.
• Proficiency in analysing user stories, use cases and requirements.
• Experience executing system, integration and regression testing.
• ISTQB certification is preferred.

Required skills

• Relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server).
• API testing.
• Jira for defect tracking.
• Testing methodologies and tools.
• Writing and executing test cases and test plans.
• Automation test script development (optional).
