Senior Software Validation Engineer

About the role

Avelabs, an Arrow company, is looking for a Senior Software Validation Engineer to join its automotive software engineering team in Cairo. The role focuses on testing automotive applications and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze requirements, identify gaps, and plan test cases for field and bench testing.
• Execute test cases, analyze results, and report findings and bugs in the defect management system.
• Develop and maintain test automation and contribute to testing strategy definition.
• Design and deploy test benches according to customer requirements.
• Communicate project status, resolve conflicts, and handle customer interactions.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in automotive validation.
• University degree in Computer, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Strong understanding of software integration testing, embedded systems, and automotive electronics.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Automotive standards: AUTOSAR, ISO26262, ASPICE.
• Requirements and test management tools: DOORS, JIRA.
• Vector tools: CANoe, vTeststudio, CAPL scripting.
• Programming languages: C, Python.
• Experience with automotive bus technologies, diagnostics, and microcontrollers.
• Familiarity with NI/dSPACE benches and ISTQB certification (optional).
