Senior Tax Accountant

About the role

As a Senior Tax Accountant you will manage tax compliance, reporting and advisory activities for multiple Siemens Energy entities across various jurisdictions. You will ensure accurate tax filings, maintain compliance with local and international regulations, and support business operations in the Middle East, Europe and other regions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review Corporate Income Tax (CIT), Value Added Tax (VAT) and Withholding Tax (WHT) returns, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
• Perform monthly and annual VAT closing activities, reconciliations and tax account monitoring.
• Manage tax compliance across multiple countries, handling reporting, recovery processes and reimbursements.
• Extract, analyse and deliver tax reports and insights to support business and statutory requirements.
• Oversee month‑end and year‑end tax closing activities and ensure correct tax postings in SAP.
• Support and coordinate tax audits, maintaining complete and compliant documentation.
• Liaise with tax authorities, external advisors and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess potential impacts on operations.
• Identify opportunities for process optimisation and implement improvements in tax operations and reporting.
• Contribute to strengthening tax governance and compliance frameworks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field (tax specialization preferred).
• 4–7 years of experience in tax accounting, compliance or advisory, preferably in a multinational organisation or Big 4 firm.
• Strong understanding of direct, indirect and international tax principles.
• Proven experience supporting multi‑country tax operations.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial data analysis.
• Experience with SAP is an advantage.
• Fluent English communication skills; Spanish is a plus.
