Social Media Manager (EU-Egypt Partnership)

About the role

CID Consulting is recruiting a part-time Social Media Manager in Cairo for an EU-funded project in Egypt. The project raises awareness of the EU-Egypt partnership and improves the visibility of EU programmes, and currently posts on Facebook, X and Instagram about three times a week. The goal is to grow the follower base, engage a largely young audience and create more diverse, platform-specific content.

Key responsibilities

• Create and implement a social media strategy and design yearly, quarterly and monthly content calendars
• Produce original content for Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube and other platforms, using images, videos, infographics and human-interest stories, with consistent branding
• Increase engagement by posting in relevant groups and collaborating with influencers and Youth Ambassadors
• Track metrics, prepare monthly performance reports and suggest improvements
• Coordinate with the core team on thematic campaigns and ad-hoc content
• Develop strategies to grow the follower base and create messaging for thematic campaigns

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations or a related field
• Proven experience as a Social Media Manager
• Previous experience working on EU projects is a must
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and strong organisational skills

Required skills

• Excellent content creation, writing (Arabic and English), editing and graphic design
• Strong understanding of social media platforms and their audiences
• Experience with social media analytics tools

The assignment runs from November 2026 to April 2027. Deliverables include at least 7 posts per week per platform, monthly strategy and content calendars, monthly performance reports and a semi-annual analytical report.
