About the role

Westview International Language School is looking for a motivated and skilled Social Studies Teacher for the academic year 2026-2027. The role suits educators who want to help students build their social studies knowledge together with professional and life skills, and prepare them for future academic and professional success. The workplace is on site.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging lessons that combine social studies content with professional skills such as critical thinking, communication, collaboration and problem-solving.
• Use diverse teaching strategies to meet different learning styles and abilities.
• Assess and monitor student progress and give constructive feedback.
• Create an inclusive, interactive classroom that encourages participation and builds life skills.
• Work with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and encourage students in extracurricular activities.
• Keep parents and guardians informed about student progress and engagement.
• Keep up with educational trends through continuous professional development.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Studies or a related field.
• Experience teaching Social Studies at secondary level is preferred.
• Strong understanding of combining professional skills with social studies education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and an innovative, student-centered approach.
• Commitment to ongoing professional learning and school community involvement.
