Software QA Engineer – Frontend Testing (Remote, Egypt)

About the role

Cisco is seeking a detail‑oriented Software QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of user‑facing web applications. You will work remotely from Egypt as part of a US‑based team, collaborating closely with frontend developers, product managers, and UI/UX designers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for new and existing frontend features.
• Create and maintain automated test suites using JavaScript‑based frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium.
• Perform manual and exploratory testing to uncover visual defects, usability issues, and other bugs.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers to review requirements, technical designs, and provide early testability feedback.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and report quality metrics.
• Identify, document, and track defects in Jira with clear, reproducible steps.
• Conduct regression testing to verify that new deployments do not impact existing functionality.
• Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and code reviews to continuously improve quality processes.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues alongside developers to pinpoint root causes.

Required profile

• 3+ years of software quality assurance experience, focusing on frontend or UI testing.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
