Specialist Inventory Controller - Local Shops

About the role

Talabat, part of the Delivery Hero Group, is looking for a Specialist Inventory Controller to join its Local Shops team. The role improves catalog accuracy, product availability and branch assortment visibility across all stores, focusing on assortment parity. You will monitor branch availability, reduce out-of-stock items, identify catalog issues and make sure products available in stores are accurately reflected on the application.

Key responsibilities

• Daily monitoring of product availability and out-of-stock performance across all branches
• Ensure products on the ground are correctly displayed and reflected on the application, including scanned items on the catalog and added via SFTP
• Identify catalog issues such as missing items, wrong mapping, barcode issues, SKU mismatches and other content errors
• Analyze data to find top out-of-stock items, repeated catalog issues and availability gaps
• Review branch feedback and validate that catalog updates match actual branch assortment
• Share product and catalog issues with vendors and follow up until resolved
• Coordinate with district managers to cascade tasks to branches and ensure daily follow-up
• Work with the scanning team, operations team, vendors and account managers to resolve issues
• Prepare regular reports on availability, out-of-stock trends and catalog performance
• Escalate recurring issues with root cause analysis and action plans, and close open tasks with stakeholders
• Support management with accurate data on branch catalog health and availability

Required profile

• 2-4+ years of experience in inventory control, catalog operations, product content or a related field
• Experience following up with vendors and coordinating with multiple stakeholders
• Strong communication skills with senior stakeholders and management
• Leadership and ownership mindset, able to drive execution across teams
• Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams
• Fluent in Arabic and English
• Detail-oriented, organized and able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Required skills

• Good knowledge of Google Sheets and ability to analyze operational and catalog data
• Understanding of product catalog structure, including barcodes, SKUs and product content attributes
