Staff Android Engineer – Financial Services

About the role

Yassir is expanding its super‑app platform into financial services across the Maghreb and beyond. As a Staff Android Engineer you will set technical standards for our consumer‑facing Android applications, guide multiple squads, and mentor engineers while delivering high‑impact features.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Android features for the financial services domain.
• Provide technical leadership, define road‑maps, and make architecture decisions.
• Manage cross‑team dependencies and conduct design and code reviews.
• Remove technical blockers for domain teams and support their growth.
• Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies to improve efficiency.
• Participate in architecture discussions and shape the technical roadmap.
• Conduct technical interviews and help raise engineering standards, tooling, and processes.

Required profile

• BSc/MSc in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of Android development experience, including at least 3 years with Kotlin.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for problem‑solving.
• Deep understanding of the full mobile development lifecycle.
• Experience with Git in a collaborative environment.
• Hands‑on experience with mobile DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven track record of publishing Android applications to the Play Store.
• Startup experience in on‑demand services is a plus.
