Student Support Coordinator

About the role

The International School of Choueifat in Cairo is looking for a Student Support Coordinator within its Student Life and Student Management department. The role organizes and supervises student activities during free periods while helping run daily school operations, engaging students in sports, arts and crafts, clubs and other extracurricular activities, and keeping a safe, positive and disciplined school environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with general student supervision, monitoring corridors, classrooms, playgrounds and other common areas, and supervising student movement between classrooms and activities so students arrive on time and behave properly.
• Organize, lead and supervise student activities during free periods, including sports, arts and crafts, clubs and recreational or educational activities, ensuring students stay engaged and supervised.
• Plan and introduce activities that encourage participation, teamwork, creativity and positive interaction.
• Coordinate with the Student Life Coordinator on student activities and school events, and help implement school rules, safety procedures and the Student Life Code of Honor.
• Monitor student behavior and address minor disciplinary issues according to school policy, reporting recurring concerns, bullying or safety issues to the Student Life Coordinator.
• Help with line-ups, recess supervision, dismissal procedures, school events and extracurricular programs, and keep accurate records of incidents and attendance in the SABIS Information System when required.
• Attend team meetings and training sessions, and carry out other tasks assigned by School Management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a relevant field.
• English proficiency; knowledge of the local language is a must.
• Professional behavior and ethical conduct, with accountability, communication, collaboration, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Meets all employment requirements, including country and local education and certification requirements, reference checks and criminal background checks.
