System Engineer – Substation SCADA

About the role

As a System Engineer you will design, engineer, configure and commission substation SCADA systems for our customers in Egypt. You will work closely with power utilities and internal teams to deliver integrated control and communication solutions that enable remote monitoring, visualization and secure operation of electrical substations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, engineer and validate integrated substation control and communication networks.
• Develop and commission SCADA, HMI and visualization solutions for local and remote control.
• Perform system testing, commissioning and startup activities at customer sites.
• Provide technical troubleshooting, support sales teams and create application notes.
• Deliver training on Schneider Electric products through classroom sessions and webinars.
• Maintain project schedules, timelines and ensure compliance with cybersecurity and time‑synchronisation standards.
• Support business development and nurture customer relationships.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Communications, Electrical Power Engineering or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in substation automation, SCADA, or related power system projects.
• Fluent English (written and spoken); French is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Willingness to travel, including possible international assignments.
