Tax Accountant

About the role

As a Tax Accountant you will ensure accurate and timely corporate tax compliance across multiple Siemens Energy entities and jurisdictions. Working in an international environment, you will collaborate with internal teams, tax authorities, and external advisors to support tax reporting, audits, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit corporate income tax (CIT), value‑added tax (VAT) and withholding tax (WHT) returns within deadlines.
• Perform monthly and annual VAT closing activities, reconciliations and tax account monitoring.
• Support tax compliance for jurisdictions in the Middle East, Europe and other regions.
• Assist with withholding tax reporting, recovery, reimbursements and compliance monitoring.
• Extract, analyse and validate tax‑related data for internal and external reporting.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing, ensuring correct tax postings in SAP.
• Assist during tax audits and maintain complete documentation.
• Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on business operations.
• Contribute to process‑improvement initiatives for tax operations and reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field (tax specialization preferred).
• 2–4 years of experience in tax accounting, compliance or advisory, preferably in a multinational or Big 4 environment.
• Strong understanding of direct, indirect and international tax principles.
• Fluent English; Spanish is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience working with SAP.
