Tax Accountant

About the role

The Tax Accountant is responsible for preparing, reviewing and submitting tax returns and related reports while ensuring full compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations. This role demands strong attention to detail, solid accounting knowledge and the ability to analyse financial data within strict deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit tax returns, tax payments and required supporting documents accurately and on time.
• Review financial records, invoices and accounting entries to ensure proper tax treatment.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, company policies and reporting requirements.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual tax reports and reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate tax records, documentation and filing systems for audit and reference purposes.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing tax schedules and responding to documentation requests.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate their impact on operations.
• Identify tax risks, reporting errors or compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with finance, accounting and external consultants to resolve tax‑related matters.
• Assist in preparing tax provisions, withholding tax reports, VAT/sales tax reports and other statutory filings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, commerce or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in tax accounting, general accounting or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of tax regulations, accounting standards and financial reporting procedures.
