Tax & Payroll Associate – Accounting Services

About the role

PWC is seeking a motivated Associate to join its Tax & Legal Services – Accounting & Payroll team within the Tax Acceleration Center (TAC) in Egypt. The role supports payroll and accounting operations for clients across the UAE and GCC, ensuring accurate processing, compliance and advisory support.

Key responsibilities

• Set up payroll systems and manage end‑to‑end monthly payroll processing for multiple clients.
• Calculate salaries, overtime, allowances, bonuses, profit‑share, salary increases and End‑of‑Service payments in line with regional regulations.
• Prepare payroll reports, payslips and manage salary transfers using various local methods.
• Compute payroll and income taxes, as well as employee and employer social‑insurance contributions.
• Provide social‑insurance services, including employee registration, de‑registration and statutory payments.
• Conduct due‑diligence on payroll, social‑insurance and labour‑law compliance, delivering findings and risk assessments.
• Assist with HR and personnel consultations related to labour law and social‑insurance frameworks.
• Support ad‑hoc client requests, special projects and internal reviews while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of local labour and payroll regulations in the GCC region.
• Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and risk mitigation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and support multiple client engagements.
