Tax & VAT Consultant (Part‑Time / On‑Site Visits)

About the role

A leading consulting firm in Saudi Arabia seeks an experienced Tax & VAT Consultant to provide on‑site advisory services on a part‑time basis. You will work directly with clients, reviewing their tax compliance, supporting planning initiatives, and assisting in the resolution of tax‑related matters in line with Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver professional tax advisory services in accordance with Saudi tax laws and ZATCA regulations.
• Review and validate VAT and other tax returns before submission.
• Assess client compliance, identify risks, and recommend improvements.
• Guide clients on VAT implementation, ongoing compliance, and related tax matters.
• Assist in resolving tax disputes, assessments, and compliance issues.
• Represent clients in meetings and communications with ZATCA when required.
• Prepare tax objections, appeals, and supporting documentation.
• Produce periodic reports with actionable recommendations.
• Conduct workshops and awareness sessions on recent legislative updates.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of hands‑on taxation experience within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• Proven track record dealing directly with ZATCA and its procedures.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and reporting abilities.
• Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
• Professional tax certifications are a plus.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Saudi VAT regulations.
• Expertise in Withholding Tax and Zakat.
• Experience preparing tax returns, objections and settlements.
• Familiarity with ZATCA filing and dispute processes.
