Teaching Assistant – Educational Leadership (Remote)

About the role

This full‑time remote position supports instructors and learners in online Educational Leadership courses within the Faculty of Education. The Teaching Assistant helps create an engaging, inclusive learning environment while ensuring smooth course delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Assist instructors with course delivery and preparation of learning materials.
• Monitor discussion forums, respond to learner inquiries, and clarify course expectations.
• Review and grade student work using established rubrics, providing constructive feedback.
• Coordinate virtual sessions and maintain clear communication channels between students and faculty.
• Collaborate with the academic team to promote a positive, inclusive online learning experience.

Required profile

• Strong teaching assistance experience, especially in online settings.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with students, faculty, and staff remotely.
• Solid foundation in education, preferably with coursework or experience in Educational Leadership.
• Competency in mathematics to support quantitative components of the course.
• Experience working with children, young adults, or adult learners in educational contexts.
• Commitment to inclusive, learner‑centered practices and cultural sensitivity.
