Team Leader, Marketplace Operations

About the role

Namshi, the leading online fashion marketplace in the Middle East, is looking for a Team Leader to head its Marketplace Operations team. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth seller onboarding, catalog quality, fulfillment performance and post‑order processes while leading a group of Marketplace Operations Executives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily marketplace operations covering onboarding, catalog management, fulfillment and post‑order processes.
• Monitor and drive performance on key KPIs such as fulfillment rate, out‑of‑stock percentage, returns and SLA adherence.
• Identify and resolve operational issues in real time, escalating when necessary.
• Collaborate closely with Logistics, Customer Experience, Finance, Product and Tech teams to remove bottlenecks.
• Support implementation of new processes, features and policy updates.
• Deliver seller onboarding training and ensure sellers are ready for go‑live.
• Create and continuously improve training materials, guides and process documentation.
• Maintain and update seller‑facing knowledge‑base content in line with policy changes.
• Track daily and weekly operational metrics, analyse trends and prepare regular performance reports.
• Manage, coach and distribute workload for Marketplace Ops Executives, ensuring clear task ownership and SLA compliance.

Required profile

• 3–5+ years of experience in marketplace or e‑commerce operations.
• Proven experience leading a small team and driving performance against operational targets.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret basic operational data and act on insights.
• Excellent communication skills to train sellers and coordinate with cross‑functional teams.
• Detail‑oriented and capable of maintaining high standards of documentation and process quality.
