Technical Office Electrical Engineer (Power & Lighting)

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Office Electrical Engineer to join our construction team in Mohandessin, Giza. The role involves preparing and reviewing electrical shop drawings, coordinating with site engineers, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review electrical shop drawings for power, lighting, low‑current and earthing systems.
• Review design drawings, specifications, BOQs and contract documents.
• Prepare and submit material and technical submittals for consultant/client approval.
• Coordinate with site engineers and other disciplines to resolve technical issues and clashes.
• Prepare quantity take‑offs and support procurement with technical requirements.
• Review vendor quotations for compliance with project specifications.
• Prepare RFIs and follow up on consultant responses.
• Participate in value engineering and cost optimisation initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards and project requirements.
• Assist in project planning and monitor technical office deliverables.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in electrical technical office work within construction companies.
• Strong knowledge of power, lighting, low‑current and electrical distribution systems.
• Experience reviewing shop drawings, material submittals and performing quantity surveying.
• Familiarity with Egyptian Codes, IEC standards and project specifications.
