Technical Support Specialist (Test Center Operations)

About the role

The National Education Network is looking for a Technical Support Specialist to ensure smooth operation of its Test Center. You will provide first‑line technical assistance, prepare examination rooms, and support daily administrative tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑line support for computers, printers, networks and software applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during examinations and routine operations.
• Set up and configure examination rooms, devices and technical equipment before each test session.
• Assist the Test Center Administration Team Leader with scheduling, documentation and reporting.
• Coordinate with candidates and internal departments regarding exam requirements.
• Monitor equipment performance, report maintenance needs and ensure compliance with policies.
• Escalate unresolved technical or operational problems as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Administration or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in technical support, help‑desk or similar operational role.
• English proficiency at B1 level or higher.
• Strong communication, organizational abilities and capacity to work under pressure.
• Experience in educational or test‑center environments is a plus.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, CCNA or MCSA (preferred).

• Competitive gross salary ranging from EGP 11,000 to 13,000 per month.
