Tendering Engineer (Civil)

About the role

Archirodon, an international EPC contractor with a global presence, is growing and is looking for a Tendering Engineer (Civil) to join its Cairo office in Egypt. The role covers civil cost estimation, BOQ preparation and commercial support for tenders.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze tender specifications, drawings and documentation to prepare cost estimates
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and other quantitative reports, and liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to evaluate their quotations
• Develop detailed cost estimates including direct and indirect costs, and assist in preparing the tender schedule and Level 2 schedules
• Assist in technical submittals, maintain cost estimation records, and prepare risk and opportunity analyses
• Perform commercial engineering tasks such as selling price analysis and pricing estimates, and prepare basic cash flow scenarios
• Coordinate with other departments, prepare presentations for clients and partners, and prepare JV/consortium documents such as interfacing plans, DORs and BOQ splits

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field
• 2-3 years of experience in a similar role
• Proven experience in at least two completed projects of similar scope and complexity; international project experience is highly recommended
• Excellent English language skills are essential
• Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment
