Testing and Commissioning Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Testing and Commissioning Engineer to join the Industrial Services & Cybersecurity unit of TÜV Rheinland. The role supports functional safety, operational technology security and renewable energy projects by delivering assessment, testing and certification services.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and execute assessment activities for industrial plants and equipment.
• Conduct conformity assessments in line with regulatory authorities.
• Generate detailed test reports and communicate findings to customers.
• Act as tester, inspector, certifier or auditor as required.
• Perform damage assessments and support additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of professional experience in testing, commissioning, inspection or related fields.
• Familiarity with functional safety and operational technology security concepts.
• Ability to work independently and communicate results clearly.

Required skills

• Knowledge of conformity assessment procedures.
• Experience preparing technical test reports.
