Total Rewards Director

About the role

We are seeking a strategic Total Rewards Director to lead the design and execution of a comprehensive compensation and benefits framework for a global retail leader. This senior position will shape the organization’s pay philosophy, ensure market competitiveness, and drive employee wellness initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a total rewards strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Design variable pay and incentive programs for multiple functions.
• Lead company‑wide job evaluation, job mapping, and the creation of standardized job families and levels.
• Benchmark roles against external and internal standards using industry surveys.
• Maintain and regularly update salary structures to reflect market trends and internal equity.
• Oversee health, welfare, retirement, and wellness programs, including open enrollment and vendor management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance or related field (MBA or Master’s preferred).
• Professional certification in Compensation preferred.
• 10+ years progressive compensation experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Prior experience in a retail or consumer‑facing environment highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of job evaluation methodologies and compensation benchmarking.
• Excellent data analysis, communication, and leadership abilities.
