Unit Head – Trade Products (Egypt)

About the role

The Unit Head of Trade Products will lead the delivery of trade finance solutions to corporate, SME and financial institution clients in Egypt. Reporting to senior banking leadership, you will ensure the bank’s trade facilities are effectively utilized to drive revenue and attract new business.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical trade finance support for import, export and guarantee transactions.
• Prepare special pricing and trade quotes, monitoring profitability across products.
• Market corporate and SME trade services, driving product enhancements and new client acquisition.
• Structure and negotiate trade facilities on a case‑by‑case basis, ensuring high utilization.
• Liaise with operations, compliance, legal and risk teams to guarantee seamless deal execution.
• Analyze client transaction data to identify usage trends and cross‑selling opportunities.
• Monitor regulatory changes (CBE, international, Mashreq) and adapt procedures accordingly.
• Lead training workshops for internal officers and external clients.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in trade finance, preferably within corporate banking.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively across functions and maintain strong client relationships.
• High integrity, initiative and commitment to professional development.
• Strong understanding of trade products, market competition and regulatory environment.
