Wet Utility Site Engineer

About the role
The Wet Utility Site Engineer oversees the construction, installation, testing and commissioning of water‑related infrastructure such as potable water, sewerage, stormwater, irrigation and firefighting networks. The role ensures that all site activities are performed safely, on schedule and in line with project specifications and quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise daily construction activities for wet utility works, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and standards.
- Coordinate installation of potable water, sewerage, stormwater, irrigation and firefighting networks.
- Monitor contractor performance, productivity and adherence to project timelines.
- Inspect materials and workmanship to meet quality requirements.
- Review shop drawings, method statements and material submittals.
- Oversee testing, flushing, pressure testing, disinfection and commissioning activities.
- Identify and resolve technical conflicts and construction challenges on site.
- Ensure health, safety and environmental (HSE) compliance.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress reports and verify completed work quantities.
- Participate in site meetings and support project close‑out, including as‑built drawings and handover documentation.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in wet utility infrastructure construction.
- Proven experience with potable water, sewerage, stormwater, irrigation and firefighting networks.
- Experience on EPC, infrastructure or utility projects; coordination with utility authorities and consultants is preferred.
Required skills
- Strong understanding of wet utility construction methods and installation techniques.
- Knowledge of international and local standards for utility infrastructure.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documents.
- Experience with testing and commissioning procedures for utility networks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
