About the role
The 1st Commis supports the kitchen team of an Accor‑affiliated hotel, ensuring daily operations run smoothly. Working closely with the Chef de Partie or Demi Chef, you will help prepare the kitchen, manage supplies and maintain high standards of hygiene and service.
Key responsibilities
- Transport daily ingredients and supplies from the storage house to the kitchen.
- Assist the Chef de Partie/Demi Chef in all routine tasks and take charge of the section when the supervisor is absent.
- Prepare dishes according to menu specifications, including portion sizes and presentation.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment in line with hotel policies.
- Monitor and control food stock levels.
- Report equipment issues to the Maintenance department and follow up on repairs.
- Communicate important matters to the direct supervisor and support the Duty Manager as needed.
- Participate in training programmes and adhere to all company and legal standards.
Required profile
- At least a primary school diploma.
- Ability to learn the role within three years and perform duties at the expected level.
- No foreign‑language requirement.
- Previous attendance in relevant training courses is a plus.
Required skills
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation.
- Food stock management.
- Understanding of hygiene and safety standards.
