Account Officer – Finance & Accounting

About the role

Butterflytex is seeking a meticulous and analytical Account Officer to join its finance team in Obour City, Cairo. The role combines core accounting duties with exposure to the fashion and retail sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Prepare and analyse accounting reports and statements to provide clear financial insights.
• Handle payable, cost, and treasury accounting to optimise financial flows.
• Maintain precise financial records in compliance with standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve financial queries and improve processes.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, preferably within garment factories.
• Proven expertise in accounts payable, receivable, cost accounting, and treasury functions.
• Strong analytical skills to generate and interpret financial reports.
• Excellent communication and account management abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with industry‑standard accounting software.
• Solid understanding of General Ledger management and reconciliation processes.
