Accountant (Egypt)

About the role

The Accountant will support the financial operations of Alcazar Energy in Egypt, handling day‑to‑day accounting tasks, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records, monitor petty cash, and compile financial data.
• Create periodic reports such as balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
• Present financial data to managers, investors, and other stakeholders.
• Perform audits, resolve discrepancies, and compute taxes (WHT, VAT reverse charge, wage tax).
• Monthly reconciliation of accounts payable/receivable, manage fixed‑asset registers, and reconcile EGP & USD books.
• Assist in year‑end audit tasks and coordinate with government bodies, customers, and suppliers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting from a recognized university.
• Completed IFRS diploma.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably with a Big Four auditing firm.
