Accounting Manager

About the role

Elite Projects Qatar is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead its accounting function on a full‑time remote basis. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing key financial statements, and ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations, including general ledger management and journal entry preparation.
• Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Monitor cash flow, budgets, and forecasts, providing actionable insights to management.
• Supervise the fixed assets register, ensuring proper capitalization, depreciation, and year‑end closing.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and Qatar/GCC regulations.
• Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen financial controls and reporting.

Required profile

• Strong financial reporting experience, including preparation and review of financial statements.
• Proficiency in core accounting activities such as journal entries, general ledger management, and period‑end closing.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cash‑flow monitoring.
• Knowledge of fixed‑assets accounting, capitalization, tracking, and depreciation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, ACCA, or CMA certification is a plus.
• Experience in food manufacturing is required.
• Familiarity with Qatar or GCC regulatory and tax frameworks is advantageous.
