About the role
The Accounts Payable Accountant is responsible for controlling company expenses by managing the full invoice lifecycle, ensuring compliance with financial policies, and providing accurate reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Receive, verify, and process invoices for purchase orders, contracts, and fixed assets.
- Perform three‑way matching of invoices with purchase requests, PO, contracts, and product receipts.
- Book accruals and payment entries in the SAP system, generate vendor statements, and issue check or cash requests.
- Reconcile corporate credit cards, payroll bank accounts, vendor statements, and advance payment accounts on a daily basis.
- Maintain historical records, prepare monthly account analyses, and produce regular financial reports.
- Allocate invoices across multiple cost centres and build monthly accruals for services and contracts.
- Conduct ad‑hoc analyses such as prepaid, accruals, advances, and aging of payables.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
- 1–3 years of experience in accounts payable or a related finance function.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with financial policies and procedures.
