Accounts Payable Lead

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Lead to own and strengthen our AP function. You will establish robust processes, drive improvements, and ensure seamless financial operations in close partnership with GL and FinOps teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end Accounts Payable process, ensuring accurate and timely supplier transaction processing.
• Establish and maintain a monthly AP reconciliation and closing process, including aging, vendor balances, accruals, and GL reconciliation.
• Strengthen AP processes, controls, and SOPs to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
• Identify automation opportunities and work with FinOps, GL, and Technology teams to streamline AP workflows.
• Guide the FinOps team on AP‑related reconciliations, issue resolution, and month‑end close activities.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, Accounting, or Finance Operations.
• Previous experience leading an AP function or team.
• Strong understanding of AP reconciliation, month‑end close, accruals, aging, and GL integration.
• Proven track record of improving finance processes and implementing stronger controls.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets proficiency.
• Experience with AP automation and ERP systems.
• Familiarity with BI or data visualization tools (a plus).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
