Accounts Receivable Accountant – Logistics

About the role

The company is a reputable logistics and cross‑border trucking provider expanding its New Cairo office. They seek an experienced Accounts Receivable Accountant to manage billing, collections and financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Issue transport and logistics invoices for cross‑border trucking, container haulage, refrigerated and dry container services, including Genset rentals and fuel consumption.
• Perform demurrage and detention audits, enforce contract terms, and manage Egyptian e‑invoicing on the Tax Authority portal.
• Monitor receivables, coordinate credit limits with sales, send statements of account and accelerate cash flow.
• Reconcile subcontractor and external fleet invoices to protect gross profit margins.
• Prepare AR aging reports, cash‑flow analysis and support month‑end/year‑end closing.
• Maintain documentation for VAT compliance and support internal/external audits.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or General Accounting, preferably in freight forwarding or trucking.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Willingness to travel outside Cairo to company branches.
• Immediate availability for an on‑site full‑time role.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
• Proficiency with ERP systems.
