AI Architect & Infrastructure (Cloud Solution)

About the role

Valeo is looking for an AI Architect & Infrastructure (Cloud Solution) to lead the definition and implementation of system, mechanical, software and hardware architectures for AI‑driven mobility solutions. The role sits within the R&D Software Project department and reports to senior engineering leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Define the overall architecture of AI products, covering system, mechanical, software and hardware components.
• Structure engineering disciplines and product components in line with the platform configurator.
• Ensure cost‑optimized designs and verify patent compliance.
• Identify, assess and mitigate technical risks across engineering disciplines.
• Drive continuous improvement and standardisation of platform architectures.
• Enforce engineering standards and support design reviews.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and provide hierarchical support when needed.
• Capture and capitalise know‑how through specifications, technical reports and guidelines.
• Manage requirement flows, translate system requirements into discipline‑specific specifications, and ensure subsystem interoperability.

Required profile

• R&D Team Leader or Architect experience within a high‑technology automotive environment.
• Proven ability to lead multi‑disciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of AI, cloud solutions and system integration.
• Experience with platform configurators and product architecture definition.
