Aluminum Technical Office Engineer

About the role

Kobann Aluminium is seeking a full‑time Aluminum Technical Office Engineer to join its on‑site team in Maadi, Egypt. The role focuses on producing accurate shop drawings, managing bills of quantities and supporting cost estimation for aluminium projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review aluminium shop drawings for structures, façades, doors and windows.
• Develop and update Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and perform quantity take‑offs.
• Coordinate with civil and electrical engineering teams to integrate aluminium systems into overall designs.
• Support cost estimation and work order preparation for fabrication.
• Maintain technical documentation, reporting and liaison with project managers, suppliers and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• Experience in aluminium fabrication, façades, curtain walls, doors or windows, preferably in a technical office environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and keep organized technical records.

Required skills

• Shop drawing preparation and review for aluminium structures.
• Bill of Quantities (BOQ) development and quantity surveying.
• Civil engineering coordination for structural and installation details.
• Proficiency with CAD software and related design tools.
