API Connect / Integration Developer

About the role

We are looking for an API Connect / Integration Developer to design, develop, publish, and maintain robust APIs using IBM API Connect. The role involves close collaboration with architects, integration teams, and business stakeholders to deliver secure and high‑performing API solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, publish, and maintain APIs on the IBM API Connect platform.
• Configure API products, catalogs, plans, and gateway policies.
• Implement API security mechanisms such as OAuth, JWT, API Keys, and mutual TLS (mTLS).
• Develop request/response mapping, routing, and transformation logic.
• Set up traffic management, throttling, caching, and error handling.
• Monitor API performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimise configurations.
• Support API lifecycle management, including versioning and deployments.
• Ensure compliance with API governance, security standards, and best practices.
• Prepare technical documentation and provide production support.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and managing APIs in a production environment.
• Strong understanding of API security, governance, and lifecycle processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.
